A Flagship of the LCT Series: Lewitt's Philosophy Serving Sound Capture

Designed as a true studio microphone system, the Lewitt LCT 1040 fits within the spirit of the LCT range with a simple goal: to offer very high-level capture with immediate sound sculpting freedom. Its "palette" approach goes beyond a simple tube microphone: it provides a tube section and a FET circuit, as well as a remote control designed for real recording conditions. Development was carried out in close collaboration with renowned engineers and producers to ensure every setting is relevant in practice, on voices, instruments, and various setups.

A Microphone Designed for Demanding Vocals, Acoustic Instruments, and "Premium" Takes

The LCT 1040 targets production studios, advanced home studios, and recording environments where timbre quality and source control are priorities. On lead vocals, it allows quick selection between a modern presence and a warmer texture while maintaining clear articulation. On acoustic guitar, piano, strings, or overheads, the 1-inch condenser capsule and the precision of the FET circuit help preserve attack and detail. In close-miking, attenuation and high-pass filter options facilitate dynamic control and proximity effect management, delivering clean takes right from the recording.

Four Analog Colors, Remote Control, Continuously Adjustable Polar Patterns

From "Clear" to "Saturated": Choose Texture, Not Just EQ

The creative core of the LCT 1040 lies in its 4 analog tube characteristics: "Clear" for an open and detailed rendition, "Warm" to thicken the midrange and soften the highs, "Dark" to tame a bright source, and "Saturated" to add a more pronounced harmonic thickness. Combined with the crystalline FET circuit, this system allows finding a balance between precision, musicality, and character, without relying solely on software processing.

The Remote Control: Faster and More Reliable Studio Workflow

Set up the microphone in the recording room, then manage settings from your listening area: a real advantage when the artist is already in place and every minute counts. The detachable remote control, removable from the power supply unit and connected via a standard 3-pin XLR cable, makes adjustments more consistent (you decide while listening on your monitors, not headphones in the booth). Result: fewer back-and-forths, faster decisions, and smoother artistic direction.

Continuously Adjustable Polar Patterns: Place the Source Exactly Where You Want It

The continuously adjustable polar pattern (omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, supercardioid, figure-eight) allows fine-tuning the balance between direct sound, ambiance, and bleed. This is particularly useful to "frame" a voice in a lively room, control ambiance on an acoustic instrument, or optimize a duo in figure-eight configuration. Add to this the high-pass filter and attenuation steps, and you have a complete recording tool designed to adapt to the session rather than the other way around.
