The Revv Generator G50 condenses the sonic approach of the Generator series into a more accessible and particularly comprehensive 50-watt tube amp head. It is aimed at guitarists looking for the edgy, articulate and precise character of Revv high-gain amplifiers, without giving up genuinely usable clean and crunch channels.

Its three-channel architecture places the Purple channel, the signature of Revv's high-gain tones, at the heart of the experience. Around this channel, the G50 adds a spacious Blue clean section and a versatile Green channel, covering an entire set with a single compact head, a guitar cabinet or directly into a recording interface.

A versatile tube amp head, from home to the stage

The Generator G50 is suitable for intermediate guitarists as well as demanding musicians who want several instantly accessible sonic identities. The 10-watt mode lets you enjoy the response of the tubes at a more manageable volume, while the 50-watt mode provides the breadth, power reserve and headroom required for rehearsals and live performances.

This head is equally at home in modern rock, hard rock, metal, prog, punk and alternative styles that call for a defined sound. Its flexibility also makes it possible to achieve detailed clean tones, thick British crunch or more contemporary high-gain textures. Thanks to its built-in Torpedo cabinet simulation and headphone output, it is also a practical solution for home studios and silent practice.

Three sculptable channels and connectivity designed to take things further

The Blue channel offers a Wide voicing, ideal for broadening clean tones and creating a generous platform for pedals. The Green channel features three Drive voicings to adjust its response, from light break-up to more pronounced crunch. Blue and Green share a three-band EQ, complemented by an independent Bright switch on each channel.

The Purple channel has its own three-band EQ and dedicated controls for extensive gain shaping. Its three Aggression voicings, combined with the Cut and Fat switches, let you fine-tune the attack, low-end density and presence in a busy mix. Two Master Volume controls make it easy to switch between two volume levels, for example for rhythm parts and solos.

The G50 also includes a digital reverb adjustable from the rear panel, a transparent noise gate with threshold control and a buffered series effects loop. Its advanced MIDI control, compatible with Program Change and Control Change, allows integration into a sophisticated live rig. The OMNI function makes it easy to communicate with a wide range of MIDI controllers.

The Revv sound: high-gain precision, tube dynamics and direct tones

With its all-EL34 tube design, the Generator G50 combines a firm attack, prominent mids and a pleasing natural compression under the fingers. Clean tones retain excellent definition, while the Green channel responds effectively to playing nuances and guitar volume adjustments. It can remain slightly gritty or become more aggressive depending on the selected voicing.

The Purple channel is designed for modern high-gain tones: tight lows, a clear top end and generous gain without sacrificing note separation. The Presence and Depth controls let you adapt the sound's projection and low-end foundation to the cabinet being used. For recording or playing without a speaker cabinet, the internal reactive load activates automatically when no cabinet is connected.

Torpedo technology by Two notes incorporates virtual cabinets accessible via a six-position selector. It delivers a direct, usable sound, with stereo XLR outputs and a headphone output. DynIRs can be further edited from the Torpedo Remote app via USB or Bluetooth, with EQ, reverb, virtual power amps and pre- or post-power amp section positioning.
