A controller designed for BeatBuddy and Aeros, and open to "easy-to-play" MIDI
The MIDI Maestro Gold was designed to meet a very concrete need: maintaining full control of a live setup (drum machine, looper, effects, racks, switchers) without breaking the flow by bending down or searching for the right command. In BeatBuddy mode, it puts advanced navigation and rhythmic interaction functions (transitions, part management, tempo variations, accents) at your feet. In Aeros mode, it becomes a true control station to organize songs, activate a track, launch a new section, and manage the flow without letting go of your instrument. And if your setup goes beyond the Singular Sound ecosystem, the "MIDI Custom" mode is precisely aimed at avoiding the headache of manuals: you build a clear, readable control logic that is directly usable on stage.
For which musicians and contexts?
This MIDI pedalboard is intended for guitarists, bassists, singer-instrumentalists, and multi-instrumentalists who play with a drum machine, a looper, or a more complete MIDI rig, and who want to trigger reliable actions with their feet. It is particularly relevant in live settings (smooth transitions, fewer mistakes, more musical changes), but also in studio when recording long takes with section changes, tempo shifts, or scene changes. If you are new to MIDI, the predefined commands and screen displays drastically reduce complexity: you see what you trigger at the moment you trigger it.
6 footswitches, 6 screens, and immediately readable controls
The heart of the MIDI Maestro Gold is an "action first" approach: each footswitch can be assigned, and each action is identified on its own screen, avoiding tape labels and uncertain memorization. In BeatBuddy mode, you benefit from hands-free navigation within the content, with the ability to play song parts out of order, including going back to the previous part. Tempo functions are designed for the stage: double or halve the tempo on the fly, then easily return to the original tempo, with a tap tempo available. The Accent function adds a "performance" dimension: you layer hits (claps, tambourine, kick drum, snare, hi-hats) by simple presses, over the playing rhythm, as if you were "playing" the drum machine. In Aeros mode, the logic remains the same: foot navigation and song management, activating a track with one press, launching a new track or new section, and the possibility to rearrange section order in real time. Finally, the Bluetooth connection and dedicated app allow you to prepare commands, customize the display, and organize presets with a much more direct approach than traditional MIDI programming.
Sound
The Singular Sound MIDI Maestro Gold does not process the audio signal: it does not color the sound, nor add gain, modulation, or conversion. Its impact lies elsewhere: in the precision of your changes, the cleanliness of transitions, and the musicality of a better-controlled set. In practice, a good MIDI controller can give the impression that your rig "sounds better"... simply because you trigger the right actions at the right time, without hesitation, and with a more natural playing dynamic.

Questions frequently asked
Does the MIDI Maestro Gold work with BeatBuddy and Aeros?
Three modes are offered: BeatBuddy, Aeros, and MIDI Custom. The BeatBuddy mode provides access to parts, tap tempo, tempo variations, and accents; the Aeros mode notably allows activating a track and launching a new part.
How many footswitches and screens does this MIDI pedalboard have?
