A module designed to expand the Legend One ecosystem
The Legend LM was not designed as a simple auxiliary keyboard. It follows a highly relevant modular approach: start with a single, lightweight, high-performance instrument, then expand it only when the repertoire or context requires it. For a small concert, a single manual may be enough. As soon as the playing becomes more demanding, adding the LM transforms the setup into a genuine dual-keyboard rig, without moving to a bulky and cumbersome configuration.
This approach gives musicians a rare degree of freedom. The Legend One family can therefore meet very different needs: traditional organ playing, a modern setup with sound layers, or a hybrid configuration combining live and studio use. The Legend LM provides this flexibility without breaking with the range's identity: a compact, reliable and visually elegant instrument designed to keep up with today's keyboard players.
Keyboard design
The Legend LM features a 61-key waterfall keyboard ranging from C to C, an ideal design for organ playing, glissandi, palm smears and rapid registration changes. This type of touch provides a direct and fluid response, particularly appreciated by organists and stage keyboard players. The range concept also includes a semi-weighted 73-note configuration ranging from E to E within the Legend One universe, opening the door to particularly interesting asymmetrical setups for musicians who want to combine an organ feel with a wider playing range.
The other major design strength lies in its integration. The included 5-pin MIDI cable transmits both AC power and MIDI messages, considerably simplifying installation. The result: fewer cables, less setup time and a cleaner playing station—an essential benefit for live performances.
Sound quality
The Legend LM does more than simply add a second physical tier: once connected to the Legend One, it allows organ sounds and additional sounds to be assigned to the upper or lower manual according to your needs. All the sonic richness therefore comes from the host instrument, which the LM extends to provide a more expressive and authentic playing experience. The benefits are immediate when alternating between left-hand accompaniment, right-hand solo parts, pads, layers or contrasting registrations.
The sound experience becomes more realistic thanks to the dual-manual approach and the presence of two sets of drawbars in the overall configuration. This results in a more intuitive approach to registration, with faster changes in real-world situations. Polyphony, sound generation and audio output depend on the connected Legend One, while the Legend LM acts as a high-performance control extension that is perfectly consistent with the spirit of the range.
Integrated effects
The Legend LM uses the processing available on the Legend One to which it is connected. Its main benefit is to make these effects more lively during performance, notably through the removable half-moon switch for rotary control, freely assignable sounds on each manual and a more natural organization of textures in performance situations.
