Essential Information About the Warm Audio WA-RA REAMPER
- Two channels, two roles: a true hub for switching from an active instrument preamp/DI to a reamping box without compromise.
- Studio/pedalboard integration: properly adapt levels and impedances between audio interface, DAW, pedals, amps, synths, and machines.
- Premium isolation: custom CineMag transformers on each path (inputs and outputs) to reduce hum, ground loops, and dynamic loss.
- Silent recording of a tube amp: speaker input + built-in power attenuator up to 50 W at 8 ohms.
A modern studio tool for reamping, creating, and mixing stress-free
The WA-RA REAMPER follows the great tradition of reamping: recording a "clean" (DI) take of a guitar or bass, then sending that track later into an amp, pedalboard, or effects chain when you have the perspective to sculpt the sound. This is the ideal approach to gain efficiency in both home studios and sessions, while preserving the tone and dynamics of the performance.
Where many solutions are limited to a single function, the WA-RA REAMPER aims to be the "missing link": it facilitates back-and-forth between the instrument world (high impedance, sensitive levels) and the line world (interface, preamps, outboard), so your gear collaborates naturally without gain tinkering or loss of punch.
Who benefits from the WA-RA REAMPER and in which styles does it make a difference?
This unit is suited both for guitarists wanting to optimize their takes and producers mixing "à la carte." In rock, metal, or blues, it allows recording a pristine DI and then testing multiple amps, cabinets, mics, and settings afterward. In pop, funk, and electronic music, it becomes a very practical bridge to run synths, drum machines, or sampled grooves through pedals and amps, achieving a more organic texture.
In live settings, it can also secure a setup: capturing a clean DI track or integrating certain studio elements into a rig. In the studio, it's a powerful tool for working calmly: you can request a remote take, then reamp at home without depending on initial sonic choices.

Questions frequently asked
Can a guitar or bass recorded in DI be reamped?
The reamp section receives a line output from an interface and allows sending the track to an amp, pedalboard, or effects chain. Its output level is continuously adjustable to match the amp's input sensitivity.
Does the Warm Audio Reamper accept synths and drum machines?
The instrument input accepts up to +18 dBu, or 6 V RMS. The input impedance is variable from 100 kΩ to 1 MΩ, with a switchable stage between discrete JFET and JFET op-amp.
Can a tube amp be recorded without a speaker cabinet using this reamper?
An integrated power attenuator allows using an amp without a speaker on an 8 Ω load. The maximum allowable power is 50 W. No IR loader is included.
How to prevent hum when reamping?
Each channel features a ground lift and phase inversion to manage ground loops and polarity issues.
What are the dimensions and weight of the unit?
The unit measures 297 × 162 × 107 mm and weighs 1.63 kg. The stated connectivity includes XLR and analog audio connections.
