The SK Series in PRO Mode: An Instrument Designed to Switch Styles Seamlessly
Since its inception, the SK series has been built around a simple idea: to offer a Hammond stage keyboard that is accessible, portable, and immediately effective in concert. The SK PRO carries this DNA forward and pushes the "all-in-one" concept further with a three-engine architecture that allows switching between registers without breaking the flow of playing. The result: a relevant instrument for pop, rock, jazz, gospel, or electro repertoires, where organ, pianos, pads, and leads must be chained together with clear ergonomics.
Keyboard Design
The Hammond SK PRO is equipped with a 61-key Hammond Waterfall keyboard, renowned for its comfort with organ playing techniques: glides, palm smears, fast repetitions, and precise articulation. The 61-key format remains an excellent compromise for the stage, especially in a compact rig or as a secondary keyboard above a stage piano. This design emphasizes immediate response and playability to fully enjoy live adjustments and changes.
Sound Quality
At the heart of the SK PRO are 3 audio engines designed to cover the essential needs of a keyboardist in live situations. The Organ section features 3 parts (upper, lower, pedal), 9 drawbars, and a polyphony of 61 voices for stable and expressive playing. The Piano/Ensemble section offers a 128-voice polyphony, stage-oriented sound categories, and advanced editing (sample selection, filter, envelope, LFO, etc.) to precisely adjust attack, brightness, and dynamics according to the mix. Finally, the Mono Synth section (monophonic) focuses on efficiency with synthesis designed for basses and leads, and an engine that quickly responds to playing intentions.
