A stage organ designed to recapture the spirit of the great consoles
The Viscount Legend Live by KeyB is aimed at musicians who want the ergonomics of a classic organ in a portable format. Its approach is clear: to offer the playing feel, harmonic drawbar response and sonic reaction sought by stage organists, without the bulk of a traditional console.
With this in mind, this model focuses on immediacy. The controls are positioned where you expect them to be, both manuals have dedicated controls, and the instrument prioritizes direct access over complex navigation. This is particularly relevant for gospel, rock, jazz, vintage pop and any repertoire where the organ needs to remain alive under your fingers.
Keyboard Design
The Legend Live features two 61-note waterfall keyboards, with a typically organ-style feel that is better suited to glissandi, palm smears and fast playing than a conventional synthesizer keyboard. The response is designed to remain smooth and immediate, with a robust construction geared toward stage use. There are two distinct manuals, each associated with its own real-time controls, allowing you to create a true dialogue between the upper and lower manuals, just as with a traditional organ setup. For organists who play with a pedalboard, an optional 25-note console pedalboard can complete the setup.
Sound Quality
The sound generation is based on advanced tonewheel modeling technology, designed to reproduce the behavior of an electromechanical organ with more depth and nuance than a simple sample library. The sound character is shaped using the drawbars, harmonic percussion, key click, crosstalk and several tonal character parameters. The rotary and amplifier simulation is clearly one of the instrument's strengths, delivering a convincing response both in rounded, mellow textures and in more energetic, saturated registers. The result is designed for immediate effectiveness in rehearsal as well as on stage, with an expressive sound identity that is easy to shape.
Built-in Effects
The instrument includes everything essential for shaping a complete organ sound without immediately relying on an external rack. The effects and processing section provides the following functions: reverb with hall or spring variations, drive with classic and rock approaches, rotary simulation with classic or rock character, vibrato, chorus, volume control, tone controls, key click, fine tuning and crosstalk. The whole setup takes you from a soft, spacious organ to a sharper, denser and more stage-ready color.
