Designed and manufactured in Germany, the HK Audio LINEAR 5 MKII series modernizes a range recognized in live and event sound reinforcement. The goal is clear: to gain in compactness and lightness to speed up setups, while integrating a powerful DSP and network control adapted to field requirements. The philosophy of the range also facilitates the management of a complete system, including when integrating speakers without DSP, and pairing with the recent subwoofers of the series, designed for more controlled low-frequency configurations.

The HK Audio L5MKII-112FA targets front of house use for concerts, corporate events, and mobile performances where reliability, sound pressure, and consistent coverage are essential. Its approach is focused on "efficiency": an active speaker that is simple to deploy, capable of maintaining a solid level, and precise enough to preserve the clarity of voices and instruments.

Thanks to the RJ45 port and dedicated software, you can access essential settings without moving: volume, input gain, equalization, and delay. During a performance, this is a real time saver to adjust a system from the mixing desk, validate a scene recall, or fine-tune a correction according to the room. The presets speed up startup and promote stable reproduction from one event to another.

The presence of a XLR DSP output simplifies chaining and integration into a LINEAR 5 MKII system, even when mixing different diffusion elements in the same configuration.

Asymmetric directivity: more energy on the audience

The asymmetric horn 60deg x +5deg/-25deg is designed for typical front-of-house situations: low stage, standing audience, or speaker installed higher than ideal. By more finely directing vertical projection, the L5MKII-112FA helps homogenize the mix over the listening area and limits "spraying" onto less useful surfaces (ceiling, upper walls), which can contribute to a cleaner and more direct perception, especially in reverberant rooms.
