A Loudspeaker Designed for Demanding Performance Applications
As part of the DRM range, this model follows a simple principle: providing the power reserve, ruggedness and precision expected from professional-grade sound reinforcement systems, in an active format that is faster to deploy. The series is built around powerful reproduction, modern electronics and a design tailored to real-world use.
This loudspeaker adopts the hallmarks of high-end sound reinforcement systems, with a performance-focused design, an 18 mm plywood enclosure and high-quality touring-grade textured finishing. It also stands out for its hybrid approach: robust enough for intensive event use, yet flexible enough to meet the needs of a club, a sound provider or a touring house of worship.
An Ideal Solution for Live Sound, Events and Versatile Installations
This active loudspeaker is designed for users who need a system capable of handling the main PA with confidence: mobile DJs, sound engineers, live bands, presenters, event providers or venues looking for powerful and reliable sound reinforcement. Its dynamic headroom makes it well suited to medium- and large-sized venues, both indoors and for mobile applications.
It is also ideal for situations where installation flexibility makes all the difference. Pole mounting, suspension using the M10 points, optimized positioning with a dual-angle pole mount, and monitor use thanks to the angled enclosure: it adapts to a wide range of scenarios without imposing major compromises. For more ambitious installations, a rail mounting system can also be added for line array applications.
Advanced DSP, Precise Sound Dispersion and Connectivity Designed for the Real World
At the heart of the system is a high-efficiency Class D amplification section combined with advanced DSP processing. Advanced Impulse technology uses precisely tuned FIR filters to optimize acoustic correction, crossover frequencies and the time alignment of the transducers. In practice, this delivers tight bass, better-defined midrange and clearer highs, with a sense of coherence usually found in larger sound reinforcement systems.
Control is handled directly from the DRM Control Dashboard, with a high-contrast color screen located on the rear panel. This interface simplifies on-site adjustments and allows the loudspeaker to be quickly adapted to the sound reinforcement environment. Features include several dedicated voicings, a 3-band parametric equalizer, Delay control, up to 6 user presets and access-code locking to secure the configuration.
For sound reproduction, the architecture features a 15-inch long-excursion low-frequency loudspeaker, a 6-inch midrange loudspeaker and a 1.4-inch titanium-diaphragm compression driver. The rotatable waveguide allows horizontal installation when required by the project, further enhancing integration flexibility. The bass-reflex design improves low-frequency response while also helping to cool the amplifier section.
The connectivity has been designed to simplify everyday setups. The two independent XLR/TRS combo inputs accept microphone, line or instrument sources, while an auxiliary input makes it easy to connect a stereo source. An XLR mix output makes it easy to send the signal to another active loudspeaker or a complementary system. This setup saves time during cabling and is equally suitable for a DJ performance, a speech, an acoustic live performance or music playback in a fixed installation.
