A portable 3-keyboard instrument at the heart of the Cantorum range

The Viscount Cantorum Trio Plus is designed for organists who want the ergonomics of a three-manual liturgical organ without the constraints of a bulky cabinet. Within the Cantorum family, it occupies a strategic position: more ambitious than a compact one- or two-manual model, yet still designed to remain easy to transport, set up and integrate into a rehearsal room, home, school, small church or small concert venue.

Its approach is based on flexibility: you can start playing immediately with a clear interface, then go much further with customization via the software editor. It is a particularly relevant instrument for organists looking for a high-end portable digital organ, capable of covering early, Romantic and symphonic repertoire alike.

Keyboard design

The Cantorum Trio Plus features three manuals with "Tracker Action" feel, designed to recreate the response of a traditional mechanical action. This approach provides precise attack, improved articulation control and a more organ-like feel than a simple lightweight keyboard. When using MIDI or orchestral voices, the response becomes velocity-sensitive, significantly expanding the expressive possibilities. The instrument also includes the Automatic Pedal function, which is useful for practising or playing without a MIDI pedalboard by assigning the pedal section to the lowest notes of the relevant manual.

Sound quality

The Physis Plus sound generation system is based on physical modelling rather than simply playing back static samples. The result is a more lively reproduction of the organ's behaviour, with a convincing response from attacks, balance between stops and sound diffusion throughout the space. The 46 stops are distributed across the Pedal, Man I, Man II and Man III divisions, with 4 orchestral voices added to enrich certain repertoires. The choice between three pipework sets—"Baroque", "Romantic" and "Symphonic"—allows you to adapt the instrument's overall character, while acoustic modelling and voicing parameters provide a highly advanced level of adjustment for fine-tuning its sonic personality.

Built-in effects

  • Reverb adjustable from the front panel and in the menus
  • 5-band digital graphic EQ for each output
  • Independent tremulants for each division
  • Advanced tremulant depth, speed, amplitude and shape settings
  • Ensemble effect management to enhance the realism of the virtual pipework
  • Air pressure and acoustic environment modelling

Educational functions

Although it is primarily designed for demanding organ practice, the Cantorum Trio Plus offers highly useful tools for everyday work. Its built-in sequencer can play, record and even overdub sequences, making self-assessment and rehearsals easier. Combination memories speed up the recall of registrations during practice, while the graphic display simplifies access to settings. For an advanced student, teacher or church organist, the ability to use or not use a MIDI pedalboard, save configurations and adapt the instrument to different playing contexts provides a genuine increase in comfort.

Advanced functions

  • Advanced editing via dedicated software for voicing, routing and complete instrument customization
  • MIDI In and MIDI Out connections for a pedalboard, expander or external control
  • USB To Host for communication with a computer and MIDI exchange
  • USB To Device for saving or loading pipework sets, combinations, settings and pieces
  • Built-in sequencer with playback, recording, overdub and song list management
  • Programmable PROG. OUT audio outputs with dedicated routing, level, EQ and reverb
  • Stereo audio input, headphone output, connections for sustain, expression and crescendo pedals
  • Optional accessories available: stand, bench, pedalboard, pedals and external amplification
