The Legend Soul spirit: a modern vision of the classic stage organ
With the "Viscount Legend Soul 261", the brand is clearly targeting demanding keyboardists who want to recapture the character of classic electromechanical organs without giving up the flexibility of a modern digital instrument. Its positioning is high-end, with an interface designed for the stage, a distinctive sonic identity and a very direct playing approach.
This model is equally suited to jazz, soul, funk, blues, rock and gospel organists, as well as touring musicians looking for a reliable dual keyboard that is quick to set up and immediately inspiring. The focus is on touch response, tonal consistency and real-time control—three essential aspects of a professional organ.
Keyboard design
The Legend Soul 261 is built around two 61-note waterfall keyboards, forming a true dual manual designed for modern and vintage organ techniques. The touch is light, smooth and responsive, making it ideal for glissandos, palm smears, fast repetitions and the attack nuances characteristic of organ repertoire. The 9-contact virtual mechanism, digitally recreated with adjustable positions, lets you fine-tune the triggering response to achieve behavior close to that of classic reference organs. This design prioritizes playing speed, rhythmic precision and comfort on stage.
Sound quality
The sound engine is based on TMT "Tonewheel Modelling Technology", developed to recreate the organic behavior of tonewheels with a high level of detail. Musicians can choose from several tonewheel, transistor and pipe organ models, including distinct models for the pedalboard. Crosstalk varies according to the selected model, the keyclick offers greater diversity across the 9 drawbar contacts, and the harmonic percussion section features numerous volume, decay and 2nd- or 3rd-harmonic parameters. The result is a lively, rich and convincing sound, capable of shifting from a punchy vintage character to a more liturgical or pop-oriented color depending on the settings.
Built-in effects
- Vibrato and chorus with V-1, V-2, V-3, C-1, C-2 and C-3 selections, activatable according to the sections.
- Rotary simulation with several cabinet and amplification models, bypass and a "Memphis mode" option.
- Reverb with several configurations and pre- or post-rotary routing.
- Overdrive for adjusting the saturation applied to the rotary or amplifier stage.
- 3-band Master EQ with Bass, Middle and Treble controls.
- Additional effects: ring modulator, flanger, phaser, wah, tremolo and delay.
- Real-time control of two parameters per effect, such as depth, speed, resonance or repeat time.
